This is a beautiful piece of concept art work here. As much as I love the foreground, what really impresses me is the detail in the background. This is an all around good digital painting!

I'm not gonna dog on you for a rating. This is a review based on content, not whether this is rated "E" or "T" or whatever. You have some pretty decent stuff here, good form and pretty decent lighting. If I had to give you some creative criticism I'd say to work a bit on coloring and shading of the hair. I can't really tell if you're trying to create shadows or highlights with the gradient style shading you do, particularly on the blonde one. Other than that, keep up the good work man!

Well I can only do so much with a mouse man, I try though.

Pretty clean line work. Maybe I'm just impressed because I suck at drawing in MS Paint.
It's also really simple, which isn't a bad thing. I'm looking forward to see what you do in animation!

AshleyAlyse responds:

I'm trying to keep it simple for animating purposes. :) Thank you so much! :D

Awesome layout for a sleeve combing tons of great elements (and enemies) from the game. The detail that went into Phantom Ganon is wicked. Love it!

Cool style. I really like it because I'm pathetically addicted to Borderlands. -___-
A friendly suggestion if I may? I feel like you could have done a lot more with the back ground. Nothing wrong with keeping it simple, but just remember that your opinions are limitless with an interesting background to create various moods. Keep it up, Becky!

Interesting take on the L4D hunter. I definitely dig the colors you used! Keep it up!

Great sense of liveliness in this! The overall art work and line work is stylish and smooth. Great job!

adeCANTO responds:

Thanks alot man! =D It was real fun to make, I'm glad you like it!

What a great compilation of characters! What an honor it must be to have one of your characters featured in this bunch! I would love a 300dpi of this :)

Big fan of the 50's cartoon feel! I also love bright colors such as the pink you used.

Very cute! What medium are you working with? It looks like it has a wonderful texture to it.

Scarry responds:

Thanks! I usually use pencil to sketch them in my sketchbook, then I scan them in and color them using photoshop. I use "multiply" color layers to give it that watercolor-ish effect. The texture is usually from the recycled paper that I use but if my scanner doesn't pick up the texture of the paper very good (which happens sometimes) I will apply a texture to it to give it more character.
